Gifts in kind

When companies, organisations and retailers within our local community donate gifts in kind, it saves us money. It means we don’t have to buy certain items that we need, so reducing our running costs.

In kind donations can be large or small and every donation helps.

We have been very fortunate over the past few years to have formed partnerships with Waitrose in Newport, Morrisons in Wellington, and Asda at Telford Town Centre.

Telford & Wrekin Council Working in Partnership
to combat digital exclusion

Telford & Wrekin Council, in close partnership with Balfour Beatty, recently donated 5 laptops to Home-Start Telford & Wrekin.

Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood, Commercial Services and Regeneration, Lee Carter said; “Telford & Wrekin Council has a strong partnership with Balfour Beatty that extends beyond building roads and maintaining our infrastructure”.

“There are still significant levels of digital exclusion, for example in the UK 4,800,000 people never go online at all for various reasons. Whenever we identify an opportunity with partners to support residents, we will always do our best to follow these up.”

Telford and Wrekin Council staff with boxes

Well, it’s not every week Home-Start Telford & Wrekin receives the contents of a fully furnished show home!

To help families hardest hit by the pandemic, Keepmoat Homes has kindly donated the entire contents of their show home based in Lightmoor Village to Home-Start Telford & Wrekin so that they can provide families with a range of household items as well as fundraising by selling unwanted items.
